Co-founder Kate Scherer worked with the Gap brands for three years as art director / co-owner at Thread Group, the agency acting as the creative department for Gap’s Personal Care division. In this role, Kate designed for Gap, Gap Body, Gap Kids, and Gap Outlet.

Gap leadership was focused on bringing fashion to the forefront and recruiting designers from major labels such as Marc Jacobs. It was an extremely exciting time to be part of creative as emphasis on details was encouraged. We were given the opportunity to design custom packaging, incorporating the signature Gap jean button into every piece. We dug through the print and pattern archives to bring heritage into the collection. When we couldn’t find legal records for a pattern, we had the golden opportunity to create custom designs. This was a dream project for an iconic brand.
